I took my son Gavin and daughter Havyn on horseback into the Montana backcountry to camp on a remote mountaintop. No tent, no backup plan—just raw wilderness, cowboy grit, and a night we’ll never forget.
When the trail disappeared and the mountain blocked us, we had to push forward and survive the night with what we had.
