OMS34-God Was Not Done with Leon Moody - On Main Street

On this episode of On Main Street, host Rick Amato sits down with transformational coach and author Leon Moody Sr. to unpack a life that pivoted from a near‑fatal 1997 drunk‑driver crash to a purpose‑driven ministry. Leon recounts the harrowing moment his car was struck, the moment his wife laid hands on him and prayed, and the two‑week coma that ended with a supernatural revival—no surgery, just faith‑filled worship and scripture. He traces his journey from a St. Louis inner‑city upbringing, through a scholarship‑earned football career at Missouri State University, to a pivotal encounter with guest speaker Jesse DePlantis that set the stage for his divine rescue. The conversation moves beyond the crash, exploring how football became his salvation, how mentors and pastors shaped his leadership style, and how those experiences birthed Universal Sun Enterprise LLC, a real‑estate and private‑money venture that funds investors’ dreams. Leon shares the core message of his new book, *Power, Purpose, and Destiny*, a roadmap of twelve personal “up‑turns” that illustrate the power of spoken words, perseverance, and a faith community that “shook heaven.” He emphasizes that miracles are not exclusive to any one group—faith, not lack of belief in others, opened the door to his healing.Rick and Leon also discuss practical takeaways: the importance of surrounding yourself with accountable mentors, the role of prayer in crisis, and how to translate personal trauma into entrepreneurial impact. Leon closes with a heartfelt call to serve, urging listeners to become givers, not takers, and to claim the destiny God has set for them. The episode offers a compelling blend of testimony, coaching insight, and actionable inspiration for anyone seeking to turn adversity into purpose.
