Too often leaders fail because they do not realize they are drifting into the deep end. Generally speaking these are leaders young in age. However, it can happen to leaders new to an industry, a role or a process. Changes in policies internally or laws externally can become a veritable quagmire.
All the money expended, team members deployed and strategies employed are not enough. The solution still requires something of the leader themselves.
On occasion all the effort one can muster, all the learning one can pursue, all the attention one can give to a problem just won’t satisfy the hounds of change.
Something personal, something sacrificial, something not yet written in the text books must be considered. It’s time to think outside the box and do the unimaginable. You’re gonna need thinking time for this and a brainstorm collaboration off the regular path.
