ETG83-LONGVIEW LOBOS @ ROCKWALL YELLOWJACKETS - LIVE DISTRICT FOOTBALL - East Texas Gameday

East Texas Gameday’s live broadcast from Wilkerson Sanders Memorial Stadium captures the electric clash that decided district first place. Morgan Smith opens with hype, noting the 2‑0 stakes for both the Longview Lobos and Rockwall Yellow Jackets and teasing the offensive fireworks ahead. The hosts break down the Lobo engine – Keaton Daniels’ arm, J'Kaden’s dual‑role versatility, and a backfield stacked with Trey Hamilton, Ja'Kaden Davis and the towering junior receiver Ryan Wiley. On the Jackets side, Colin Jones is praised as the district’s top quarterback, while Michael Carina anchors a right‑heavy rushing attack and wide‑out Jaden Herndon threatens for big gains. The play‑by‑play rolls through a back‑and‑forth scoring frenzy: an 80‑yard Wiley touchdown kick‑starts the game, Hamilton answers with a 68‑yard reception, a 101‑yard kick return flips momentum, and the teams trade long‑run and deep‑pass scores to reach a 35‑35 tie at halftime. The third quarter sees Hamilton’s one‑yard plunge and Jones’ two‑yard rush, while the Jackets close the gap with a 54‑yard Hamilton reception. In the final minutes, Kendall Johnson’s 71‑yard grab ties it, but Trey Hamilton’s two‑yard sprint under two minutes seals a 56‑49 Lobos victory.Post‑game, the hosts celebrate the Lobos’ 24 first‑downs, 609 yards and a 5‑1 overall record, while acknowledging Rockwall’s 430 yards and a resilient fight. Special‑teams heroics, defensive stands, and a congratulatory shout‑out to Tyson Johnson’s Ivy‑League commitment add human interest. The broadcast wraps with a promise of a rematch next week, a reminder of the district race, and thanks to fans, sponsors, and the “legitimacy” brought by Chuck. This episode delivers the raw excitement, stats, and personalities that made the game a night to remember.
