ETG71-The Sideline Presented by PH Realty Season 4 - East Texas Gameday

East Texas Gameday’s latest episode dives into the week’s high‑school football fireworks, spotlighting Pleasant Grove’s breakout stars and the road ahead for district rivals. Host Morgan Smith breaks down why Colt Yancey earned offensive MVP honors, highlighting his poise under pressure, pocket slides and bootleg moves that turned a 300‑plus yard passing night into three touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, Kedridge Smith’s 12‑tackle domination cements his defensive MVP status, a relentless force that kept opponents guessing. The conversation shifts to the upcoming slate: Texas High’s homecoming showdown with Marshall, Liberty Allo‑Newton’s surprising 46‑point surge, and the district opener featuring Gilmer. Morgan weighs the impact of depth charts, cheerleader counts (78 at one school!), and coaching tweaks, urging fans to rally behind their teams, especially the Cubs, as the season truly kicks off. Sponsorship outreach gets a shout‑out, with the crew promising more local business support for future games. The episode also teases a pre‑game interview with Billy Sims for the Hooks matchup and hints at weather‑dependent plans. Throughout, Morgan’s bold, unapologetic tone celebrates the grit of East Texas football while calling listeners to hit the stands and back their hometown heroes.
