ETG70-Leaving the Yard with Chuck Zach LIVE on Texarkana Gameday 9-30-26 - East Texas Gameday

Morgan Smith and Chuck Zach dive into the chaotic world of Texas high school football scheduling, exposing how districts line up bye weeks right after non‑district play. They reminisce about the old days when teams never had a bye, then pivot to the college scene, weighing Arkansas’ series with Texas A&M and the Vols’ matchup against the Hogs. Chuck praises the Razorbacks‑Aggies rivalry, notes the move out of Dallas as a win for fans, and predicts three‑game winning streaks for both Texas A&M and Arkansas. The duo also rolls out a whirlwind of local events: the Spooky Dog show, a marching band competition threatened by rain, and the Dazzler’s Legacy Clinic at the Raider Dome. Sponsor shout‑outs for Blake Montgomery’s financial services and Natural Caffeine’s energy cans are woven into the banter, with Morgan rattling off the phone number and the flavor lineup.Baseball playoffs get a quick recap—Astros trailing the White Sox, fan frustration, and the Rangers’ brief postseason cameo. Throughout, Chuck’s colorful tirade about “Billy Lavender” illustrates the tension between optimism and realism in sports analysis. The episode ends with a tease for tomorrow’s “Picks of Righteousness” and a promise of more local flavor, from high‑school marching bands to a Speedway interview. If you love bold takes on Texas football quirks, college series speculation, and a dash of community hype, this episode is your ticket to the yard’s front porch.
